Play-by-Play Sports Broadcaster Jesse Ough has brought his commentary to audiences across ESPN3, ESPN+, CBS Sports, FIBA, and PAC-12 Conference games. He is also the host and voice of The Sports Scene with Jesse Ough on iHeartRadio and calls games for both the ACC and ASUN Conferences.
Ough’s play-by-play style is influenced by Bay Area broadcasting legends such as Dave Fleming, Ted Robinson, Greg Papa, and Tim Roye. He currently contributes live coverage for ESPN+, ESPN3, FloSports, CBS Sports, FIBA, and iHeartMedia. On The Sports Scene, he’s joined by co-hosts Alvin Delve and Max Ronquillo, along with guests from the NBA, WNBA, NFL, NHL, and more.
In addition to his hosting and commentary work, Ough collaborates with top-tier broadcasters, including Minnesota Vikings play-by-play announcer and talk show host Paul Allen, as well as Ted Robinson. Drawing inspiration from these professionals, he continues to refine his game preparation and commentary skills, taking lessons from some of the best voices in sports broadcasting.
FIBA, CBS Sports and FloSports
Since 2020, Jesse Ough has been an on-camera PxP and On Air Host for FIBA on simulcasts which are transmitted worldwide. Providing international coverage of basketball games and tournaments around the globe, Ough hosts weekly talk shows sharing the scoop with listeners who tune in from all over the world. He is also the primary talent for LBA Serie A and the Florida Basketball Association. Ough also provides on-camera PxP coverage for CBS Sports Digital Network and FloSports in Hockey and Football. For the last six years, Jesse Ough has provided PxP coverage of critical PAC-12 Conference games, including the Euroleague, LBA Serie A Finals, Football Bowl Games, Basketball Tournaments and a whirlwind of other primetime series coverage.
Early Career Experience
Eager to enter the world of sports broadcasting, Jesse Ough took his first role as a Sports Broadcaster for Pittsburg Diamonds Professional Baseball. Halfway through the first inning, he was locked in—he knew he had found his calling. In this role, Ough served as a play-by-play voice, providing live radio coverage and contributing to color analysis.
He later became Sports Director at KALX 90.7 FM, overseeing scheduling, assigning team duties, coordinating travel, maintaining equipment, and communicating directly with PAC-12 sports information directors. For the past six years, Ough has covered key PAC-12 Conference games—a journey sparked by his formative experience at KALX.
