Amid a severely less-than-perfect season for the Ohio State Buckeyes, the basketball team made the decision to part ways with coach Chris Holtmann. After a 62-54 loss to the Wisconsin Badgers, the tumultuous performance has the Buckeyes on thin ice. This loss has earned the Buckeyes last place in the Big Ten. With a 4-10 conference record, things are not looking good for Ohio State’s men’s basketball team, as far as Play by Play (PxP) Broadcaster Jesse Ough can see.
In a last ditch effort to repair and redeem their legacy, the Ohio State Buckeyes are making big decisions. Unfortunately for coach Chris Holtmann, those big decisions begin with severing ties. Holtmann started his career as coach of the men’s basketball team on a high note. His first five years as coach of Ohio State were marked by four consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances; leading the team to a 107-56 record. But sadly, Holtman has fallen from grace in the modern era. And the Buckeyes know they have to change something to save face. Chris Holtmann is out and host of The Sports Scene Jesse Ough looks forward to seeing who will take over. Sean Miller, Nate Oats and Mick Cronin are currently in talks as coaching candidates to replace Holtmann.
